Here are some more items and some most shops
would think were beyond saving but even if your
family heirloom has been abused we can rebuild and
restore it back to what it once looked like. Saving a
piece of your family heritage for your kids and their
kids and so on.
This commode came in missing parts and covered in black
paint. Dating from the civil War I restored the missing parts
and stripped the paint that was put on about the early 1900s.
Then it was sanded and stained back to its original walnut
color. It was nice to save such a lovely piece as below.
Pulled from the loft of a small barn this mahogany bookcase
desk came in dusty and dirty as seen in the before picture.
But after stripping the blackened finish off it was finished in a
rich deep mahogany finish as you can see on the after picture
.
After starting to attempt to refinish his Grandma's old oak
Kitchen cabinet a customer brought it to the shop as seen in
the before picture. I repair the roll and the joints that were
needing it. Then the piece was stripped and finished back to
the original golden oak color and the inside repainted to
match how it was painted as seen in the after picture.
Left to fall apart on a back porch this oak bookcase desk
came to the shop missing over 1/3 of it parts. They were
reproduced from salvaged oak board from the same era.
Then refinished and restored back to a nice oak bookcase
desk that someone's family will enjoy for years.
This lovely quarter sawn oak buffet was dug out of a basement
where it had been for over 30 years. The doors and drawers wouldn't
open so they had be finished so they would work right. Then the
finish had started to turn white from the moisture it was exposed to.
So it was refinished and the lovely quarter sawn aged quarter sawn
oak revealed once again.
These old oak chairs were brought in by a customer who had bought
them at a town charity auction. After gluing them, refinishing them
and upholstering the seats you can see hown

This child's cabinet came to the shop from a lady who's Great Aunt
had built many years ago. But had been stored in an old farm
shed when the door started coming off. The weather and
temperatures changes had weathered finish and loosen some of
the joints. After gluing the joints and rehanging the door the piece
was refinished but the aged look was kept intact.

So no matter how bad of condition your furniture is in we usually
can restore and repair it. You can have a piece you can hand down
through the family and be proud of.
