After being a general catch all for just about everything. I
have at last started to get the Wash Porch arranged how I
want it.  I still have some washing items I want to buy for
the overall display
The picture on the left shows how the Wash Porch had
became a catch all room from old family pictures to
tools I use when working on the house. It is even act as
a storage room for my shipping too. I still have to get
the old family pictures sorted and divided between my
brothers and sisters. I have started to put it back to
how it would have looked as a wash porch. One of the
old folding washing benches with a hand cranked
wringer now decorates the porch complete with copper
boiler and a old wicker basket
An  old Maytag washer and an original
style gas engine that I have restored them
and got the old engine running fine
Items sold on Ebay are ready to ship in the left hand picture. I
will still use the Wash Porch for this but hope to some day move
that basement. I was able to find a old wooden ironing board
built in a local town and some sad irons.
My sad iron collection some of the metal handled
irons I am using as door stops like they use to in the
old days. I keep my spare lamps and lamp parts on
the shelf till I need them or want to use them
I keep my canning equipment back here and some of
my empty jars. I hope to find a old wicker picnic
basket to go with the old picnic blanket I have.
My old hand crank ice freezers. The one is a 4 quart
one I have used it for a couple of years now. The
wood one I just got this winter on a auction and it is
a 6 quart model. I will scrub it up really good and use
it when I make ice cream for big family get together.
I want to try rocky road ice cream or strawberry
sherbet. I have made orange sherbet and it was
pretty good. The recipes need work on I found them
on the internet. The fun part about is making them
your own by changing them to your taste.
